AI Flowchart Generator FAQ
Is this AI flowchart generator free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark. The AI runs on your own OpenRouter account, where free models cost nothing; editing and exporting happen in your browser.
Can I edit the diagram after it is generated?
Yes. Drag boxes, rename them, change shapes and colours, connect or delete them, or tell the AI what to change. Tidy up re-arranges everything, and undo works for every step.
What is Mermaid code and why export it?
Mermaid is a text format for diagrams that GitHub, GitLab, Notion and Obsidian draw for you. Copy it into a README or a page and the diagram stays editable as text.
Can I turn Mermaid code into a diagram here?
Yes. Paste the code into the description and generate — the AI converts it into a diagram you can drag and restyle.
Does it need an image-generation model?
No. The AI only decides the boxes and arrows; the layout and drawing happen in your browser, so any text model works, including free ones.
Which formats can I download?
PNG at double resolution for slides and docs, SVG that stays sharp at any size, and Mermaid code for docs and repositories.
Is my description stored anywhere?
Only in your browser's history. Your text goes straight from your browser to the AI model you picked.
